All You Need To Know About Car Detailing

All You Need To Know About Car Detailing

Three sports cars are parked in a parking lot in front of a building.

If you own a car, car detailing is something you would want to consider looking into. Keeping your car clean and in good shape isn't just about making it look pretty. It can improve the car's value if you ever trade or sell it.

There are two parts of car detailing: interior and exterior car care, depending on the car detailer you choose. Know more about it below.

The Methods

Pro Tip: Before starting a car detailing, wash and dry the car fully. Get into those hard-to-reach areas and thoroughly clean the wheels and tires. You may also want to wax your car as this will provide extra shine and protection against dirt, bugs, and water

Car Detailing - Interior Car Care

You should vacuum car interiors and wipe car interiors down with car detailing wipes to remove dirt and dust. Wipe the car's interior with car detailing cloths or mitts for best results. You can also use car fragrance sprays to make it smell nice inside.

Car Detailing - Exterior Car Care

Wash the car's exterior with car wash soap and water. Use a soft car brush to scrub the car's body and then rinse it off. Dry the car off with a clean towel. You can then use detailing clay to remove any contaminants on the paint, like tree sap or bugs. Polish the car's paint with car wax and a car buffer. Finally, apply a car sealant to protect the paint from the elements.

Why is Car Detailing Important?

  • Car detailing can help keep a car looking new by removing contaminants from the surface of the car's paint, trim, and glass.
  • Improve the car's resale value by making it look nicer and cleaner
  • Car detailing can protect the car's finish from environmental elements.
  • Improve the car's performance by making it run more efficiently and smoothly
  • Car detailing is a great way to show your car some love.

Congratulations! You've just bought your dream car—a shiny, flawless beauty ready for the open road. But the excitement fades quickly the first time you hear the dreaded "ping" of a rock chip hitting your pristine paint. This is where Paint Protection Film (PPF) becomes your new best friend. What is Paint Protection Film (PPF)? PPF is a transparent, durable film applied to the front end of your vehicle, shielding it from common road hazards like rock chips, debris, bugs, and minor scratches. At our shop, our Level 2 PPF package (our most popular) covers your car's most vulnerable areas, including the full hood, bumper, headlights, front fenders, and side mirrors. Why Consider PPF for Your New Car? When deciding whether to invest in PPF, it's crucial to think about the long-term costs of driving without protection. Here's an easy-to-understand breakdown comparing PPF installation versus typical body shop repairs for common rock chip damage: 2024 BMW X7 M60i PPF Level 1 Package: $2395 (one-time investment, lifetime warranty) Typical Body Shop Repair: $5092.84 (actual local estimate) 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS PPF Level 1 Package: $2295 (one-time investment, lifetime warranty) Typical Body Shop Repair: $5414.40 (actual local estimate)
